EUCATAPE FAQ
Collapsible content
What is Eucatape and what makes it different from regular athletic tape?
Eucatape is a durable cotton athletic tape infused with eucalyptus oil. It’s designed to help protect hands and fingers from blisters, cuts, hot spots and friction during rowing, dancing, drumming, running, golf and other activities. Unlike stretchy kinesiology tape, Eucatape provides a secure, non-stretch wrap where you need extra protection.
What size is a roll of Eucatape?
Eucatape is 10 yards long, and 1.5 inches wide.
Can I use Eucatape for activities other than the one listed on the tin?
Absolutely. All Eucatape is designed to provide durable protection against friction, blisters, cuts and hot spots. While we offer versions specifically branded for rowing, dancing, drumming, running and golf, you can use Eucatape anywhere you need reliable hand, finger or foot protection.
Does Eucatape help prevent blisters?
Yes. Eucatape is designed to help protect high-friction areas of the hands, fingers and feet from blisters, hot spots, cuts and irritation. Apply it before activity to areas where you normally experience rubbing or friction.
Is Eucatape stretchy like kinesiology tape?
No. Eucatape is a traditional non-stretch athletic tape, not kinesiology tape. It creates a durable protective barrier over areas that experience repeated friction and rubbing.
What does the eucalyptus do?
Eucatape is infused with eucalyptus oil, giving the tape its signature fresh eucalyptus scent and making it different from ordinary athletic tape. The eucalyptus is infused directly into the tape during manufacturing.
How do I apply Eucatape?
Start with clean, dry skin. Tear or cut off the amount of tape you need and wrap the area you want to protect. Apply it snugly, but not so tightly that it restricts circulation. For best results, apply Eucatape before blisters or hot spots develop.
Can I tear Eucatape by hand?
Yes. Eucatape is designed to be easily torn by hand, so you don't need scissors. This makes it easy to keep a tin in your gym bag, dance bag, rowing bag or instrument case and apply it whenever you need it.
What sports and activities can I use Eucatape for?
Eucatape can be used anywhere repeated friction causes discomfort, blisters or hot spots. It's especially popular for rowing, Irish dancing, drumming, running and golf, but it can also be used for weightlifting, hiking, racquet sports and other activities.
Does Eucatape come in different colors?
Yes. Eucatape is available in a variety of colors depending on the activity and product line. We also offer Signature Series tapes created with professional athletes and musicians. Check each product page for currently available colors.
Do you offer bulk pricing for teams, clubs and schools?
Yes! We offer discounted Eucatape packs for teams, clubs, dance schools and other organizations. Larger packs provide a lower cost per roll and are a great option for coaches, teams and programs that use Eucatape regularly.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free shipping within the United States on orders over $35.
What if I am sensitive or allergic to eucalyptus or adhesive?
If you have a known sensitivity or allergy to eucalyptus, adhesives or athletic tape, we recommend not using Eucatape without first consulting an appropriate healthcare professional. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
